Anant Sadashiv Altekar (24 September 1898 – 25 November 1960; ) was a historian, archaeologist, and numismatist from Maharashtra, India. He was the Manindra Chandra Nandy's Professor and Head of the Department of Ancient Indian History and Culture at Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi, India,. Sadashiv Kanoji Patil
Sadashiv Kanoji Patil (abbreviated as S. K. Patil) (1898–1981) was a former Congress leader from Maharashtra. A veteran freedom-fighter, he was a qualified journalist, scholar and orator. He was thrice elected mayor of Bombay and was known as "the uncrowned king of Bombay". He supported, assisted and nurtured a number of institutions, particularly in Mumbai and enriched the city culturally. Bhaskar Sadashiv Soman
Admiral Bhaskar Sadashiv Soman (30 March 1913 – 8 February 1995) was an Indian Navy Admiral. He was in command of the Indian Navy from 1962 to 1966 as the 5th Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS). Early life Soman was born in Gwalior, the capital of the eponymous princely state. He received his early education at the Indian National Congress' Tilak Vidyalaya and at a school in Sangli State. Career He subsequently entered the Royal Indian Marine (RIM), and following initial training on the training ship ''T/S Dufferin'', was selected for officer training in the United Kingdom in 1932. Sadashiv Ganpatrao "Sadu" Shinde (18 August 1923 – 22 June 1955) was an Indian cricketer who played in seven Test matches from 1946 to 1952. His daughter, Pratibha Pawar, is the wife of politician Sharad Pawar. A leg-spinner, Shinde was described as "frail and willowy". Malhar Sadashiv (M S) "Baburaoji" Parkhe (15 April 1912 – 13 January 1997), was an Indian industrialist. Parkhe was known to have a good study of Vedic literature. He was known to be a strong follower of Param Sadguru Shree Gajanan Maharaj of Shivpuri, Akkalkot and believer in his teachings of Agnihotra. He was involved in the worldwide propagation of the Agnihotra way of life. Parkhe delivered lectures and wrote several books on the subject. Karnad Sadashiv Rao
Karnad Sadashiva Rao was an Indian independence movement, Indian freedom fighter from what is now Karnataka, India. Rao was born to a wealthy south Indian family in 1881. He studied at Presidency College in Madras and also studied law in Mumbai. Rao became involved in the Indian independence movement. He founded Mahila Sabha to help widows and poor women. By 1919, he was fully involved in the Indian independence movement, being one of the first from what is now Karnataka to volunteer for Mohandas Gandhi, Gandhi's Satyagraha movement. He was also one of the key members of the Indian National Congress, Congress Party and was responsible for expanding the party in what is now Karnataka.
