At the end of the 2010–11 Lega Pro Seconda Divisione season, the club was relegated to Serie D where it currently plays. History The club was founded in 1920. Stadio XXV Aprile – Aldo Castenetto
Stadio (literally, ''Stadium'') is an Italian pop rock band formed in 1977. The members are Giovanni Pezzoli (drums), Roberto Drovandi (bass guitar), Andrea Fornili (guitar), and Gaetano Curreri (vocals and keyboard). Formation and early recordings The group had a long-standing arrangement as an accompanying band to Lucio Dalla, a Bologna-born singer. Stadio had its first notable public appearance in the mid-1970s, when the group appeared on Lucio Dalla's 1975 collaborative album with Roberto Roversi, '' Anidride Solforosa'' (Italian for "sulfur dioxide"). The members of Stadio on this album were Giovanni Pezzoli playing the drums, Marco Nanni playing the bass and Fabio Liberators playing the keyboard. 2009–10 Lega Pro Seconda Divisione
The 2009–10 Lega Pro Seconda Divisione season was the thirty-second football league season of Italian Lega Pro Seconda Divisione since its establishment in 1978, and the second since the renaming from Serie C to Lega Pro. It was divided into two phases: the regular season, played from September 2009 to May 2010, and the playoff phase from May to June 2010. The league was composed of 54 teams divided into three divisions of 18 teams each, whose teams were divided geographically. Teams played only other teams in their own division, once at home and once away for a total of 34 matches each. Teams that finished first in the regular season, plus one team winning the playoff round from each division were promoted to Lega Pro Prima Divisione; teams that finished last in the regular season, plus two relegation playoff losers from each division were relegated to Serie D. Serie C2 was the fourth highest football league in Italy, the lowest with a professional status. History Before the 1978–79 season, there were only three professional football leagues in Italy, the third being Serie C. The league menaging the C was also organizing the semi-professional Serie D. In 1978, it was decided to split the Serie C into Serie C1 (the third highest league) and Serie C2, moving the remnants of the Serie D to the amatorial sector as Campionato Interregionale. Upon its inception in 1978–79, Serie C2 consisted of four groups of 18 teams, with two promotions and three relegations. It was composed by 162 teams divided into nine divisions of 18 teams each. The regular Serie D season started September 2, 2007 and continued through to May 4, 2008 with each team playing 34 matches, two matches against every other team in the division. The nine division winners were automatically promoted to 2008–09 Lega Pro Seconda Divisione, while the two last-placed teams were automatically relegated to Eccellenza. Promotion and relegation is used by sports leagues as a process where teams can move up and down among divisions in a league system, based on their performance over a season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are sometimes called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in a lower division are ''promoted'' to a higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season. Sacile
Sacile (; , Liventino: ; Western Friulian: ) is a (municipality) in the Regional decentralization entity of Pordenone, in the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. It is known as the "Garden of the " after the many palaces that were constructed along the river Livenza for the nobility of the Most Serene Republic of Venice. Geography The historic center is located on two islands of the river Livenza; it is unclear whether the islands are natural or manmade. History Sacile developed in the seventh century as a strong-point on the route from Veneto to Friuli.
