SVL Langbroek
Sport Vereniging Langbroek (commonly abbreviated to ''SVL'' that is also used by a Lelystad club) is a multi-sports club in Langbroek, Netherlands. It was founded on 20 Juni 1961. The club has branches of badminton, gymnastics, tennis, and association football. Its home is at Sportpark Oranjehof. History In 2010 the first football squad promoted to the Eerste Klasse. It participated in the national 2013–14 KNVB Cup, where it lost 3–2 against EHC Hoensbroek in the extension. Lelystad
Lelystad () is a Dutch Municipalities of the Netherlands, municipality and the capital city of the province of Flevoland in the central Netherlands. The city, built on reclaimed land, was founded in 1967 and was named after Cornelis Lely, who engineered the Afsluitdijk that made the reclamation possible. Langbroek
Langbroek is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Wijk bij Duurstede, and lies about 11 km southeast of Zeist. The village is the merger of Overlangbroek and Nederlangbroek Until it merged with Wijk bij Duurstede in 1996, Langbroek was a separate municipality. History Langbroek was the result of a cultivation project of the swamp area. Two settlements appeared: Nederlangbroek and Overlangbroek. Overlangbroek was first mentioned in 1219 as Langebruke, and means "long stretched out swamp". The Eerste Klasse () started as the 1st tier of football in the Netherlands and is now the 6th tier. The league is divided into ten divisions. These divisions correspond to the six districts of the Royal Dutch Football Association: each district is organised geographically. Each division consists of 14 teams. The champion of the Eerste Klasse divisions are promoted to the Vierde Divisie (formerly Hoofdklasse). Furthermore, a season is divided into two periods () of eight matches each. 2013–14 KNVB Cup
The 2013–14 KNVB Cup tournament was the 96th edition of the Dutch national football knockout tournament for the KNVB Cup. 82 teams contested in 81 matches beginning on 28 August 2013 in the first round and concluded with the final on 20 April 2014. AZ unsuccessfully defended its 2012 title. PEC Zwolle successfully pursued the 2013–14 KNVB Cup and qualified for the play-off round of the 2014–15 UEFA Europa League. Ajax were runner-up. Participants 82 teams participate in the 2013-14 cup. The Vierde Divisie (; "Fourth Division"), formerly known as Hoofdklasse () is the second-highest league of amateur football in the Netherlands, and the fifth tier in general. Background The league was divided into two sections: Saturday and Sunday. This was a result of the traditional pillarisation (), the segregation of Dutch society. The ''Saturday'' clubs are mainly Protestant Christian clubs, who were not allowed to play on Sunday.
