The legislation places a duty on local authorities to promote understanding of the functions and democratic arrangements of the authority among local people. Jobseeker's Allowance (Employment, Skills And Enterprise Scheme) Regulations 2011
Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA) is an unemployment benefit paid by the Government of the United Kingdom to people who are unemployed and actively seeking work. It is part of the social security benefits system and is intended to cover living expenses while the claimant is out of work. JSA is administered by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in England, Wales, and Scotland, and in Northern Ireland by the Department for Communities. Claimants must be between 18 years of age and the State Pension age. There is now one form of the benefit, based on National Insurance contributions, referred to by the DWP as ''New Style Jobseeker's Allowance'' or ''New Style JSA'' for short. The previous form of the benefit, which was based on income and had replaced Income Support for most customers in 1996, is no longer available. Dartford Heath
Dartford Heath Common is an area of open heathland situated to the south-west of Dartford, Kent, England, that covers around of open space. Dartford Heath is classified as lowland heath and is one of only two substantial heathland blocks remaining in Kent. The heath supports a number of rare plants and invertebrates, as well as reptiles, including the common lizard and slow-worm, and rabbits. History Prehistoric barrows, and Stone Age and Bronze Age artefacts have been discovered on Dartford Heath in some abundance. The heath has been important to local people since medieval times as common land; it therefore escaped enclosure during the late 18th and early 19th centuries, however during this period the heath was owned by the Tredegars and it was heavily excavated for granite, chalk and other natural resources. Local Government, Planning And Land Act 1980
The Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980 (c. 65) imposed tendering requirements on local authorities in relation to works contracts and was responsible for the establishment of development corporations, including the London Docklands Development Corporation. It also created the Public Request to Order Disposal, which can be used by the government to force a local authority to sell derelict land and empty property owned by certain public landlords. The power was renamed the Community Right to Reclaim Land in 2011. The Equality Act 2010 (c. 15) is an act of Parliament of the United Kingdom passed during the Brown ministry with the primary purpose of consolidating, updating and supplementing the numerous prior Acts and Regulations, that formed the basis of anti-discrimination law in mostly England, Scotland and Wales; some sections also apply to Northern Ireland.
