The 2025 SGB ROWE Motor Oil Premiership is the 90th season of the top tier of British speedway and the 8th known as the SGB Premiership. Belle Vue Aces are the defending champions, while Sheffield Tigers are the defending Knockout Cup champions. Summary The league consists of the same seven teams as in 2024, with Oxford again racing in all three professional leagues. The points limit also remains at 40 points, with each side featuring a rising star. Zach Cook
Zach Cook (born 15 July 1999) is a speedway rider from Australia. Speedway career Cook signed for Plymouth Gladiators for the SGB Championship 2021 season. The following season in 2022, he rode for the Poole Pirates in the SGB Championship 2022, and was instrumental in helping Poole retain their tier 2 League and Knockout Cup double crown. In 2023, he signed for Wolverhampton Wolves, where he would make his Premiership debut in the SGB Premiership 2023. He also re-signed for Poole for the SGB Championship 2023. Late in the 2023 season, Cook won the Olympique. Cook re-signed for Poole for their 2024 Championship and knockout cup winning season and moved to join the Birmingham Brummies in the Premiership, following the demise of Wolverhampton. Antti Vuolas
Antti Vuolas (born 23 August 1999) is a motorcycle speedway rider from Finland. Career Vuolas twice won the bronze medal at the Finnish Individual Speedway Championship in 2018 and 2022. In 2022, he rode for Region Varde during the 2022 Danish speedway season and also appeared for Lublin in the U24 Ekstraliga. In 2023, he stayed with Region Varde for the 2023 Danish speedway season and was part of the Finland team that competed at the 2023 Speedway World Cup in Poland. In October 2023, he paired up with Timo Lahti to become the European Pairs bronze medal winner. He made his British League debut with the Workington Comets in the 2024 Championship and helped Belle Vue Aces win the 2024 Premiership title. Michael Jepsen Jensen
Michael Jepsen Jensen (born 18 February 1992) is a motorcycle speedway rider from Denmark. Career Jepsen Jensen was part of the 2010 Under-21 World Cup winning Denmark team. He peaked in 2012, winning the 2012 Speedway World Cup with the Denmark national speedway team and winning the 2012 Speedway Grand Prix of Nordic becoming the first wildcard to have won a GP meeting since Hans Andersen. In the Nordic Grand Prix he defeated Nicki Pedersen, Emil Sayfutdinov and Jason Crump in the final. Later that year in November 2012, he won the Individual Under-21 World Championship. In 2013, Jepsen won a second gold medal at 2013 Team Speedway Junior World Championship as part of the U21 Danish team. Matej Žagar (born 3 April 1983 in Ljubljana, Slovenia) is a Slovenian motorcycle speedway rider who was won two Individual Speedway European Champion titles in 2008 Individual Speedway European Championship, 2008 and 2009 Individual Speedway European Championship, 2009. He is 18 times Slovenian Individual Speedway Championship, Slovenian Speedway Champion. Keynan Rew
Keynan Rew (born 2003) is an international speedway rider from Australia. Speedway career Rew took up riding at the age of seven and his father Dwayne set up a club called the Ipswich "Switches" at Willowbank. In 2021, Rew helped Australia qualify for the final of the 2021 Speedway of Nations (the World team Championships of speedway). In 2022, he helped Wilki Krosno win the 2022 1.Liga. He won the 2022 Australian Under-21 Individual Speedway Championship. Tobiasz Musielak
Tobiasz Musielak (born 18 August 1993 in Leszno, Poland) is a Polish motorcycle speedway rider. Career Musielak, the younger brother of fellow Speedway rider Sławomir Musielak, mirrored the early career of his brother by starting his career with Unia Leszno who Tobiasz still rides for today after first riding for them in 2009. In 2011 he became a member of the Polish national junior speedway team, and in 2012 he was the runner-up in the Individual Speedway Junior European Championship. Musielak was given his first opportunity in British Speedway by the Wolverhampton Wolves who named him in their 2015 line-up. Wolves promoter Chris Van Straaten described Musielak as "a really entertaining rider and a really exciting prospect". Jason Edwards (speedway Rider)
Jason Edwards (born 14 September 2002) is a British motorcycle speedway rider. Career In 2017, Edwards made a number of guest appearances at reserve after he turned 15 as he was then eligible to ride. He made his National league debut for Lakeside Hammers on 29 September 2017 against Belle Vue Colts, he had an excellent debut scoring 9+1 from 5 rides. Edwards made more appearances for Lakeside and also rode some meetings for Eastbourne Eagles. In 2018, he moved from reserve into the main Eastbourne team for the first time, riding at number 2 for the rest of the season. Edwards also won the League and cup double with Eastbourne defeating Mildenhall Fen Tigers in both finals. Additionally he rode for the Cradley team that only competed in the National Trophy. Michele Paco Castagna
Michele Paco Castagna (born 4 March 1994) is an Italian international speedway rider. Speedway career Castagna is four times Italian Champion, winning the Italian Individual Speedway Championship in 2017, 2018, 2022 and 2024. He has also won the Italian Junior Championship three times (2011, 2012, 2014). He has ridden in the British Speedway leagues since 2015, riding for various clubs, including Ipswich Witches in 2016. Tate Zischke
Tate Zischke (born 30 July 2005) is an Australian motorcycle speedway rider. He currently rides in the British Speedway Championship, for Workington Comets. Speedway career Zischke a protégé of Darcy Ward, came to prominence when he won the New South Wales Under-21 championship 2022 and the bronze medal in the Australian Solo Championship, also in 2022. In 2023, he rode in the U24 Ekstraliga in Poland for Unia Leszno before signing for Workington Comets in the British leagues for the 2024 season.
