SEAT Cupra GT
The SEAT Cupra GT is a GT race car made by SEAT and introduced in a world premiere first as a concept car on 24 April 2003 at the Barcelona Motor Show. The final version of the Cupra GT was presented later, produced on customer demand by the Spanish car manufacturer's SEAT Sport division in a limited series addressed to racing teams or individuals aiming to participate in GT races like the Spanish GT Championship. The SEAT Sport division has worked with the SEAT Design Center in Sitges, in order to create the racer with the design essence of the SEAT Salsa and SEAT Tango concept cars. Thus the SEAT Cupra GT incorporates the brand's 'auto emoción' philosophy, featuring the distinctive Walter de Silva's curved 'Dynamic Line' descending on the sides of the car from the front to the rear. SEAT Sport
Cupra Racing, formerly known as SEAT Sport, is the high-performance motorsport subsidiary of the Spanish automobile manufacturer SEAT, founded in 1985, succeeding the "SEAT Special Vehicles department" which had been formed in 1971 with the mission to enforce the brand's participation in rally championships, followed by 11 titles between 1979 and 1983. SEAT Tango
The SEAT Tango roadster is a concept car presented at the 2001 Frankfurt Motor Show, designed by a team directed by Walter de Silva with the contribution of SEAT's chief of exterior design, Steve Lewis. Featuring a two-door two-seater roadster body style riding on a cut-down SEAT Ibiza platform, it is powered by a version of Volkswagen Group's 1.8L 20VT engine which drives the front wheels. While it was an internal concept, it was originally intended to be called the Tanga because of its rear end lines, however that name was turned down by Volkswagen Group's management as it was found rather provocative. Spanish GT Championship
The Spanish GT Championship / Iber GT (''Campeonato de España de GT / Iber GT'') was a Spanish auto racing series founded in 1999 and organised by the GT Sport Organización.
