Harima Sports Club () is a Jordanian football club based in Kharja, Jordan, representing the village of Harima. It currently competes in the Jordanian Second Division League, the third tier of Jordanian football. History Harima participated in the 2023 Jordanian Third Division League, where it was placed in Group 3, alongside teams from Northern Irbid. Harima eventually advanced from their group and beat Al-Talbiya 4-2 on penalties, after a 0-0 draw in the quarter-finals, to gain promotion to the Jordanian Second Division League. The Jordanian Second Division League () is a football league that is the third tier of the Jordanian football league system. Al-Tura are the most recent champions in the 2024 season. Format The league consists of 16 teams divided into two groups. The first and second placed teams in each group qualify to the semi-finals, in a two-legged tie. The winner and runner-up are directly promoted to the Jordanian First Division League. The bottom two clubs are relegated to the Jordanian Third Division League. 2023 Jordanian Third Division League
The 2023 Jordanian Third Division League started on 15 June 2023 and concluded on 30 July 2023. Format The league consists of 40 teams divided into 10 groups of 4 or 5 teams according to geographical distribution. The first, second and third placed teams in each group, as well as the 2 best fourth placed teams with groups of 5 (see Groups 2, 3, 7, and 9) qualify to the Round of 32. The Round of 32 and Round of 16 matches will be held in a single-match knockout system, while the rest of the tournament consists of a two-legged tie system. If a match ends in a draw, penalty kicks will be used directly to determine the winning team. The teams that qualify for the semi-finals of the competition get automatically promoted to the Jordanian Second Division League. Ajloun, Al-Ordon Lil-Fursia, Hay Al-Amir Hasan, Mu'ab, Sahl Horan, Shabab Al-Hussein, Shabab Talbieh and Tafila are the most recent promoted teams from the 2024 season, as a result of a restructuring of the Jordanian Second Division League by the Jordan Football Association. Bani Kinanah Department () is one of the nine departments that constitute the Irbid Governorate of Jordan. It has a population of over 130,000. Its administrative center is in Sama al-Rousan. History Football in Jordan was introduced during the time of the Ottoman Empire, when Jordan/ Transjordan was part of that empire. 2024 Jordanian Second Division League
The 2024 Jordanian Second Division League was an abandoned season, which was set to start on 10 October 2024. 15 of the 16 clubs participating from that season were relegated to the upcoming Jordanian Third Division League, as a result of the Jordan Football Association handing punishments to each club that refused to play second-tier due to financial demands. The 15 clubs plan on appealing the decision, in hopes of reversing the ruling. Al-Tura were exempt from punishment, as the only club that arrived to their scheduled match back in October 2024. As a result, they were awarded as champions of the competition and were promoted to the upcoming Jordanian First Division League season.
