Shorts S
Shorts are a garment worn over the pelvis, pelvic area, circling the waist and splitting to cover the upper part of the legs, sometimes extending down to the knees but not covering the entire length of the leg. They are called "shorts" because they are a shortened version of trousers, which cover the entire leg, but not the foot. Shorts are typically worn in warm weather or in an environment where comfort and airflow are more important than the protection of the legs. There are a variety of shorts, ranging from knee-length short trousers that can in some situations be worn as formal clothes to beachwear and athletic shorts. Some types of shorts are typically worn by women, such as culottes, which are a divided skirt resembling a pair of loose-cut shorts. South Carolina Highway 9
South Carolina Highway 9 (SC 9) is a major state highway in the U.S. state of South Carolina. The highway travels from Cherry Grove Beach to the North Carolina state line upstate. The highway is currently the longest state highway in South Carolina. It is signed as a north–south highway, even though it travels in an east–west direction. Route description SC 9 begins at the North Carolina-South Carolina border, where the road continues as NC 9. This is about northwest of Spartanburg. The road slowly heads southeast to Spartanburg. Five miles into its existence SC 9 intersects SC 11 and then later, SC 9 intersects SC 292. After this, SC 9 enters Boiling Springs. Finally, SC 9 enters the northeast section of Spartanburg and crosses over Interstate 85 and Interstate 585. Then SC 9 joins up with US Route 176. Southern Cross Nine
10 was an Australian television network distributed by Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) in regional Queensland, southern New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, regional Victoria, the Spencer Gulf and Broken Hill. SCA's network was the primary affiliate of Network 10 in these regional areas. On 17 December 2024, Southern Cross Austereo announced the sale of their regional television licenses in Regional Queensland, Southern NSW/ACT and Regional Victoria to Network 10. The sale was completed on 1 March 2025. History Origins Southern Cross began as a small network of three stations in regional Victoria. The ''Southern Cross TV8'' network comprised GLV-10 Gippsland, BCV-8 Bendigo, and STV-8 Mildura. GLV was the first regional television station in the country, launched on 9 December 1961.
