SA-China People's Friendship Association (SACPFA) is the only people's association for friendship with China in South Africa. SACPFA was founded in Johannesburg, South Africa on March 21, 2013. Also, its branches cover Cape Town in South Africa, Shanghai and Beijing in China. Its aims are to improve mutual understanding and trust, promote exchange and cooperation between the people of South Africa and China, maintain world peace and promote common development. SACPFA is committed to carrying out all-round, multi-level, wild-ranging friendly exchange between the people of both countries, and enhancing economic cooperation and cultural exchange. Manne Dipico
Manne Emsley Dipico, first Premier of the Northern Cape Province, South Africa, was born in Kimberley on 21 April 1959. He was appointed Chairman of the Nuclear Energy Corporation of South Africa (Necsa) in 2006. He is Chairman of Ponahalo Holdings (De Beers Group) and Deputy Chairman of De Beers Consolidated Mines Ltd. He is the first President of SA-China People's Friendship Association. Keorapetse Kgositsile
Keorapetse William Kgositsile (19 September 1938 – 3 January 2018), also known by his pen name Bra Willie, was a South African Tswana poet, journalist and political activist. An influential member of the African National Congress in the 1960s and 1970s, he was inaugurated as South Africa's National Poet Laureate in 2006. Kgositsile lived in exile in the United States from 1962 until 1975, the peak of his literary career. He made an extensive study of African-American literature and culture, becoming particularly interested in jazz. During the 1970s he was a central figure among African-American poets, encouraging interest in Africa as well as the practice of poetry as a performance art; he was well known for his readings in New York City jazz clubs. Marius Fransman
Marius Llewellyn Fransman (born 15 August 1969) is a retired South African politician and teacher. He served as Leader of the Opposition in the Western Cape Provincial Parliament from 2014 to 2016, and as Chairperson of the Western Cape African National Congress from 2011 to 2016. He served as Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation in the cabinet of Jacob Zuma. From 2009 to 2014, he was a Member of the National Assembly. Liu Guijin
Liu Guijin (born August 1945) is a retired Chinese diplomat who served as Chinese ambassador to South Africa between 2001 and 2007 and Chinese ambassador to Zimbabwe between 1995 and 1998. Biography Liu was born in Yuncheng County, Shandong, in August 1945. He graduated from Shanghai International Studies University. He joined the Communist Party of China in August 1971. Liu joined the Foreign Service in 1972 and has served primarily in Africa. Since 1981, he worked at the Chinese Embassy in Kenya.
