S24 (ZVV)
The S24 is a regional railway line of the Zürich S-Bahn of the Zürcher Verkehrsverbund, Zürcher Verkehrsverbund (ZVV), Zürich transportation network. The line was significantly extended in June 2014, and again in December 2015, and has subsumed the former S21 (originally S1) line previously providing service in parts of its extended route. At , trains of the S24 service usually depart from ground-level tracks () 3 or 4. It is currently the only S-Bahn service that reverses direction of travel in one of the surface-level terminal tracks instead of passing through one of the station's underground platforms. Bassersdorf Railway Station
Bassersdorf is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Zurich and the municipality of Bassersdorf. The station is located on the Zurich to Winterthur main line, to the east of where the Zürich Airport and Kloten lines diverge. It is an intermediate stop on the Zurich S-Bahn services S7 and S24. The original route of the railway was through the centre of Bassersdorf. But with the construction of a new railway to serve Zürich Airport in 1980, this route was abandoned along with the original Bassersdorf railway station from 1877, built by Schweizerische Nationalbahn. Oberwinterthur railway station () is a railway station that serves Oberwinterthur, which is district number 2 in Winterthur, a city in the Canton of Zurich, Switzerland.
