S. Subramaniam (footballer)
Subramaniam a/l Sooryapparad (born 31 August 1985) is a Malaysian professional footballer who mainly plays as a centre-back, but also may operate as a defensive midfielder. Club career Perak Subramaniam began his football career in 2004 playing for Perak youth team. UPB-MyTeam (loan) In 2006 while still playing for Perak FA, Subramaniam was loaned out to Liga Premier club, UPB-MyTeam for two seasons. That time he played under coach Bojan Hodak. MyTeam finished the 2006–07 season as runners-up behind PDRM, and as a result were promoted to the Liga Super in 2007–08 season. Return to Perak He was recalled to Perak for their Piala Malaysia campaign, in which he excelled along the campaign. Ironically Perak coach Steve Darby was originally unaware that Subramaniam was actually a Perak player. S Subramani
Shunmugham Subramani (born 5 August 1972), commonly known as S. Subramani, is a former Singapore footballer in the S.League and former defender for the Singapore national football team. Playing career Subramani started his career with Tiong Bahru Constituency Sports Club in 1992. The club would changed its name to Tiong Bahru United Football Club and then Tanjong Pagar United. In 1998, Subramani won the Singapore Cup and Singapore FA Cup in 1998, as well as being named S.League player of the year. He signed for Home United in the 1999 season, where he teamed up with his regular partner at international level, Aide Iskandar. Subramani retired from football at the age of 37 in 2009. The Malaysia Premier League ( ms, Liga Premier) was the second-tier professional football league in Malaysia. The league replaced the former second-tier league, Liga Perdana 2 in the Malaysian football league system. The competition began on 14 September 2010 and concluded on 30 October 2010 with the final, held at National Stadium, Bukit Jalil. A total of 16 teams took part in the competition. Ahmad Shahrul Azhar
Ahmad Shahrul Azhar Sofian (born 24 October 1974) is a Malaysian former footballer best known for his time with Perak, where he was team captain and wore the number 7 jersey. He was a central midfielder. Career Shahrul spent almost his entire career with Perak FA. He made his debut in 1996 and remained with Perak FA until 2008 except in 1998 and 1999, where he joined Negeri Sembilan FA. He is a highly-influential player for Perak FA, but is perhaps more known for his fiery temperament than his footballing abilities. He was once banned 12 months for his antics against the fourth official after receiving a red card against Selangor MPPJ. Steve Darby
Stephen David Darby (born 15 January 1955) is an English football coach and former player. He is well known throughout Asia as a pundit for ESPN Star Sports. Playing career Darby started out as a goalkeeper for Liverpool Schools and FA Youth Team but never made it professionally and subsequently ended up at Tranmere Rovers before playing for teams in the US and Australia. Coaching career Darby obtained his UEFA A Licence in 1979. He became an official FIFA Instructor for the Oceania region in 1981 and was the Technical Director of the Australian Soccer Federation (former name) of governing body Football Federation Australia between 1990 and 1995. He then moved on to coach Johor FA in 1997, where he enjoyed a successful spell, winning the Malaysia FA Cup and a league title.
