"S.O.S." is the twenty-first and twenty-second episodes and two-part season finale of the second season of the American television series ''Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'' Based on the Marvel Comics organization S.H.I.E.L.D. S.H.I.E.L.D. is a fictional espionage, special law enforcement, and counter-terrorism government agency appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, this agency first appeared in ''Strange Tal ..., it follows Phil Coulson and his team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents as they fight a group of Inhumans (Marvel Cinematic Universe), Inhumans. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and acknowledges List of Marvel Cinematic Universe films, the franchise's films. The first part was written by Jeffrey Bell and directed by Vincent Misiano. Part two was written by Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancheroen, and directed by Billy Gierhart.
