Rŭngrado
Rungra Island is an island in Pyongyang, North Korea, located in the middle of the Taedong River. Its total area is . The Chongryu Bridge on the north side and the Rungra Bridge on the south side connect the island to the rest of Pyongyang. Some of the Eight Views of Pyongyang can be seen from the island. Recreational facilities on the island include the Rungrado 1st of May Stadium. Rungrado 1st Of May Stadium
The Rungrado 1st of May Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium occupying an area of on Rungra Island, Pyongyang, North Korea. It opened on 1 May 1989, with its first major event being the 13th World Festival of Youth and Students. It is the second largest stadium in the world by seating capacity (after India's Narendra Modi Stadium), considering the re-estimated number of seats in 2014, and the second largest stadium in the world considering its official seating capacity. Uses The stadium is currently used for football matches, a few athletics events, and most often for the mass games of the Arirang Festival. Rungra People's Pleasure Ground
The Rungra People's Pleasure Ground is an amusement park located in Rungra Island, Pyongyang, North Korea. It was opened in 2012 in a ceremony with Kim Jong Un and his wife Ri Sol-ju. It has a dolphinarium, swimming pool, arcade, mini golf course, fun fair, and courts for tennis, badminton, and volleyball. The park has been expanded many times over the years and now has its own trolley transportation system. The park entrance fee was 2000 won in 2012, equivalent to around USD$20 at the official exchange rate or USD$0.25 at the black market rate. The Rungra Bridge is a bridge in Pyongyang, North Korea, one of the city's six bridges on the Taedong River. The Taedong River ( Chosŏn'gŭl: ) is a large river in North Korea. The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) is the state news agency of North Korea. The agency portrays the views of the North Korean government for both domestic and foreign consumption. It was established on December 5, 1946 and now features online coverage. Organization KCNA is the only news agency in North Korea. It daily reports news for all the news organizations in the country including newspapers, radio and television broadcasts via Korean Central Television and the Korean Central Broadcasting Station within the country. KCNA works under the Korean Central Broadcasting Committee, through which it is ultimately controlled by the Workers' Party of Korea's Propaganda and Agitation Department.
