Răcari
Răcari is a town located in Dâmbovița County, Muntenia, Romania. It administers seven villages: Bălănești, Colacu, Ghergani, Ghimpați, Mavrodin, Săbiești, and Stănești. It was declared a town in 2004. The town is located in the southeastern part of the county, northwest of Bucharest, on road DN7. It lies in the Wallachian Plain, at an altitude of , and is traversed by the rivers Colentina (river), Colentina and Ilfov (river), Ilfov. Răcari borders the following Communes of Romania, communes: Bilciurești and Cojasca to the north, Tărtășești and Ciocănești, Dâmbovița, Ciocănești to the south, Butimanu to the east, and Conțești, Dâmbovița, Conțești and Cornățelu to the west. Castra Of Răcarii De Jos
Castra of Răcarii de Jos is an ancient Roman fort near the town of Răcari (formerly Răcarii de Jos), near Brădești, Dolj county, Romania. The fort is on the left terrace of the River Jiu (river), Jiu and about 70 m SW of the railway station. It probably guarded a military port on the Jiu River. The fort walls measure 170 x 145 m. Its position far behind the Dacian Limes suggests it was used for policing the centre of present Oltenia. Prince Of Samos
The Principality of Samos (, ; ; ) was an autonomous tributary state of the Ottoman Empire from 1834 to 1912. The island of Samos had participated in the Greek War of Independence since 1821 and successfully resisted several Turkish and Egyptian attempts to occupy it, but it was not included with the boundaries of the newly independent Greek state. Instead, beginning in 1834 the island was granted self-government as a semi-independent state. Tributary to the Ottoman Empire, paying the annual sum of £2700, it was governed by a Prince who was a Christian of Greek descent, but nominated by the Ottoman Porte. Ion Ghica (; 12 August 1816 – 7 May 1897) was a Romanian statesman, mathematician, diplomat and politician, who was Prime Minister of Romania five times. He was a full list of members of the Romanian Academy, member of the Romanian Academy and its president many times (1876–1882, 1884–1887, 1890–1893 and 1894–1895).
