Río Abajo F.C.
Río Abajo Fútbol Club is a Panamanian football team playing in the Liga Nacional de Ascenso. The team is based in Panama City and represents Río Abajo neighborhood. History Río Abajo is the team that has won the most championships in the Liga Nacional de Ascenso with 3 titles, in 2008 and 2009 after defeating Orión twice 2–1 and 3–1 respectively. They have been defeated in the promotion playoff two years in a row. In 2008 they lost against Plaza Amador by a 3–2 aggregate score and on 2009 they were defeated by Alianza by 2–1 aggregate score. In May 2012 they beat C.A.I. and got promoted to Liga Panameña de Fútbol. They were relegated back to the second level in April 2014. Cancha De Entrenamiento Luis Tapia
The Luis Ernesto "Cascarita" Tapia Court or ''Mini Rommel'' as it was known, is an alternative court to Estadio Rommel Fernandez which provides training to the Panama national football team, but is also used by clubs of Panamanian Football League. It is named after the Panamanian footballer, famous in the 1960s and 1970s, called the "Central-American Pele". and is located in the Sports Complex of Ciudad Deportiva Irving Saladino. Opening It was officially inaugurated on January 22, 2009 by the former president Martin Torrijos, Siglo XXI and Chorrillo FC youth teams played the first match. In September 2010 was given the name of Luis Ernesto Tapia, in tribute to footballer of same name. Plaza Amador
Plaza Amador is a Panamanian football club based in Panama City, that currently plays in Liga Panameña de Fútbol. It is the oldest team in Panama. History C.D Plaza Amador was founded in 1955 by Panamanian sports legend León Cocoliso Tejada (1927–1982). Under Tejada's leadership, the club relied heavily on developing and training players (rather than high-profile signings). After Tejada's's death, new directors Andrés Villa, Daniel Vàsquez and Enrique Cajar led the club back to the highest level of Panamanian football. They won the district title, the COPA JVC, and in 1988 claimed their first ever ANAPROF championship. Amador proceeded to win titles in 1990 and 1992.
