Ryūkon Cup
The is an annual Single-elimination tournament, single elimination professional wrestling Professional wrestling tournament, tournament held by Tenryu Project since 2021. The first edition, announced at Survive the Revolution Vol. 11 on October 26, 2021, was meant to feature wrestlers who had a connection to Tenryu Project founder Genichiro Tenryu. Though it is held every year in November, the first three editions were numbered instead of being referred to by year (e.g. the first edition was titled ). :ja:TORU (プロレスラー), Toru is the inaugural winner of the tournament. Tournaments Results 2021 The first edition of the Ryūkon Cup featured 11 wrestlers each representing their respective home promotion as well as five freelancers for a total of 16 participants. Genichiro Tenryu
, better known as is a Japanese retired professional wrestler and professional wrestling promoter. At age 13, he entered sumo wrestling and stayed there for 13 years, after which he turned to Western-style professional wrestling. "Tenryu" was his ''shikona''. He had two stints with All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW), where he spent the majority of his career while also promoting Super World of Sports (SWS), Wrestle Association R (WAR) and Tenryu Project. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. Kenichiro Arai
is a Japanese professional wrestler best known for his time with the Japanese promotion Dragon Gate. Biography Kenichiro Arai, also known as AraKen, is a second term graduate of Último Dragón's Toryumon Japan group, and has been a mainstay on the roster ever since. He participated in FMW before joining Toryumon. He debuted as a heel, but turned face within the year and remained so for over a decade. Kohei Sato
is a Japanese professional wrestler contracted with Pro Wrestling Zero1. Sato is also a former mixed martial artist. Career A former judoka and amateur wrestler, Sato made his transition to mixed martial arts after meeting Kazunari Murakami and Sanshu Tsubakichi. is a Japanese professional wrestler and mixed martial artist, better known by the ring name . Sato started his MMA career in February 2000, fighting for Pancrase Hybrid Wrestling. During the next eight years, Sato fought, on average, five times a year, compiling a record of 18 wins, 19 losses and four draws, which included fights against the likes of Keiichiro Yamamiya, Nathan Marquardt, Ryo Chonan and Yushin Okami.
