Ryoichi Nakagawa
was a Japanese aircraft/automotive engineer. He graduated from Tokyo Imperial University in 1936 and joined Nakajima Aircraft Company in the same year. Career He improved Nakajima Sakae engine for Mitsubishi A6M Zero, Nakajima Ki-43 and other planes. He was the chief designer of Nakajima Homare engine for Nakajima Ki-84, Nakajima C6N, Kawanishi N1K and others. After World War II, Nakajima Aircraft Company was disbanded and was banned from producing aircraft by the GHQ. It was divided into 12 companies. Two of them were Fuji Heavy Industries (Subaru) and Fuji Precision Industries (Prince Motors). Nissan S20 Engine
The Nissan S20 engine is a straight-6 four-valve DOHC internal combustion engine produced by Nissan from 1969 to 1973, originally designed by engineers of the former Prince. It was the first mass-produced Japanese engine with more than two valves per cylinder. Essentially a revised production variant of the 1966 Prince GR-8 engine from Prince/Nissan's R380 racecar, it produces at 7000 rpm and of torque at 5600 rpm and weighs . Jiro Tanaka (engineer)
was a Japanese aircraft and automotive engineer. Career Tanaka graduated from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in March 1939 and joined the Tachikawa Aircraft Company Ltd, Tachikawa Aircraft Company in April 1939. In October of the same year, he enlisted in the Imperial Japanese Army, Army and evaluated new engines for army aircraft. In 1944, the Japanese Army sent him to his home company of Tachikawa Aircraft Company Ltd, Tachikawa to complete the design of the Tachikawa Ki-74. Tanaka's contribution was to add a pressurized cabin to Ki-74. After the end of World War II, Tanaka repaired existing Tachikawa Ki-77 and Ki-74 aircraft for submission to the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, GHQ. Prince G Engine
The Prince Motor Company, Prince G-series engine was the company's only Inline-four engine, straight-four and straight-six engines which began production in 1955. A number of variations were made, with both Overhead valve, OHV and OHC heads. A diesel four-cylinder with was also built, called the D-6. The G series was used in the Nissan Skyline, Skyline, the Nissan Laurel, Laurel, and the Nissan Gloria, Gloria from the 1950s to the early 1970s.
