Rybakov Foundation
The Rybakov Foundation () is a private philanthropic organization, founded by Ekaterina Rybakova and Igor Rybakov in 2015. It has a number of national and international projects and is best known globally for the Rybakov Prize, an award for philanthropists in education. History Rybakov Foundation was established by the Russian billionaire Igor Rybakov and his wife Ekaterina in December 2015. Rybakov applied the concepts of efficient business management to charity and educational projects. In 2016, the founders identified three areas of work: development of education, entrepreneurship, and non-commercial sector. The Foundation also sponsored an annual #EdCrunch conference for new technologies in education. In 2017, the foundation partnered with the Moscow City University, Projectoria NGO and the World Bank to launch Collab Challenge, a Scratch coding contest for Russian teenagers. Educate Girls
Educate Girls is a non-profit organization in India, established in 2007, founded by Safeena Husain, that works towards girls' education in India's rural and educationally backward areas by mobilising communities. It currently operates in over 13,000 villages in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. By leveraging the Government's existing investment in schools and by engaging with a huge base of community volunteers, Educate Girls helps to identify, enrol and retain out-of-school girls and to improve foundational skills in literacy and numeracy for all children (both girls and boys). Safeena Husain
Safeena Husain is a social worker and founder of Educate Girls – a non-profit organisation that is headquartered in Mumbai, India. It focusses on mobilising communities for girls’ education in India’s rural and educationally backward areas. Under her leadership, Educate Girls’ launched world’s first Development Impact Bond in education which on its completion in 2018 surpassed both its target outcomes. Career Husain worked in San Francisco as the Executive Director for Child Family Health International from 1998-2004. Prior to her role in San Francisco she graduated from the London School of Economics. Educate Girls Husain moved to Mumbai in 2005 where she began working on what would become Educate Girls.
