Ryan Thompson (basketball)
Ryan Christopher Thompson (born June 9, 1988) is an American professional basketball player for Hapoel Holon of the Israeli Premier League. He played college basketball for Rider University before playing professionally in the NBA D-League, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Serbia, Turkey and Israel. College career Thompson played four seasons of college basketball at the Rider University, with the Rider Broncs. Professional career Thompson went undrafted in the 2010 NBA draft. For the 2010–11 season he played with the Utah Flash of the NBA Development League. On July 13, 2011, he signed with Basket Brescia Leonessa of the Italian Legadue Basket for the 2011–12 season. Telekom Baskets Bonn, also known as Baskets Bonn, is a German professional basketball club that is based in Bonn, Germany. The club plays in the Basketball Bundesliga, which is the highest level pro basketball league in Germany. The club's sponsor is the German company, Deutsche Telekom, a major telephone and internet company, which also sells mobile phones (T-Mobile) in the United States. The 2015–16 Turkish Airlines Euroleague was the 16th season of the modern era of Euroleague Basketball and the sixth under the title sponsorship of the Turkish Airlines. Including the competition's previous incarnation as the FIBA Europe Champions Cup, this was the 59th season of the premier competition for European men's professional basketball clubs. The 2016 Euroleague Final was played between CSKA Moscow and Fenerbahçe at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany. Serie A2, known for sponsorship reasons as Serie A2 Old Wild West, is a men's basketball league in Italy. It constitutes the second-tier of the Italian league pyramid, below the first division LBA and above the third division Serie B, with promotion/relegation occurring between these leagues. It is run by the Lega Nazionale Pallacanestro (LNP), itself regulated by the FIP, the Italian federation. The 2010 NBA draft was held on June 24, 2010, at the Theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The draft, which started at 7:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time (2300 UTC), was broadcast in the United States on ESPN.
