Polaris are an Australian metalcore band from Sydney. The band consists of vocalist Jamie Hails, guitarist Rick Schneider, bassist/vocalist Jake Steinhauser and drummer Daniel Furnari. They released their debut album, '' The Mortal Coil'' on 3 November 2017 to critical acclaim and it was nominated for the 2018 ARIA Award for Best Hard Rock. On 14 November 2019 Polaris announced their second full length titled '' The Death of Me'', released on 21 February 2020 through Resist/ SharpTone records subsequently earning their second ARIA Award nomination. Shortly after announcing the upcoming release of their third studio album, ''Fatalism'', the band confirmed via social media platforms that lead guitarist Ryan Siew had died on 19 June 2023. Metalcore
Metalcore is a broadly defined fusion genre combining elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk, originating in the 1990s United States and becoming popular in the 2000s. Metalcore typically has aggressive verses and melodic choruses, combined with Breakdown (music), breakdowns – which are slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining traits are low-tuned, percussive guitar riffs, double bass drumming, and polished production. Vocalists typically switch between roaring or Screaming (music), screaming and clean, melodic, emotional singing. Lyrics are often personal, introspective and emotive. Conjurer (band)
Conjurer are an English sludge metal/post-metal band from Rugby, Warwickshire. They are currently signed to Nuclear Blast Records. History Conjurer were formed in 2014 by Brady Deeprose and Dan Nightingale, with Andy Price and Jan Krause completing the lineup; with the latter previously playing keyboards for British death-doom band Esoteric (band), Esoteric. The group built their following though frequent live performances. Deeprose cited Rugby's Geography of the United Kingdom, central location within the UK as helping the band reach a variety of venues. In 2016, Conjurer released their first Extended play, EP, ''"I"'' via Holy Roar Records. APRA Music Awards Of 2021
The APRA Music Awards of 2021 are the 39th annual series, known as APRA Awards. The awards are given in a series of categories in three divisions and in separate ceremonies throughout the year: the APRA Music Awards, Art Music Awards and Screen Music Awards.
