Ryan Riddle
Ryan Riddle (born July 5, 1981) is a former professional American, Canadian and Arena football defensive end. He was drafted by the Oakland Raiders as a linebacker in the sixth round, with the 38th pick (212th overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft. He played college football at University of California, Berkeley. Riddle has also been a member of the New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, Los Angeles Avengers and Calgary Stampeders. Ryan Riddle is the grandson of former USC Trojan fullback John RIddle and Helen Wheeler. John Riddle was the first Trojan to score four touchdowns in one game, and in 1924 he and Bryce Taylor of USC were the first African Americans to play against a southern college team. Helen Wheeler graduated from USC Law School in 1927, making her the school's first African American woman to do so. Defensive End
Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. History Early formations, with six- and seven-man lines, used the end as a containment player, whose job was first to prevent an " end run" around his position, then secondarily to force plays inside. When most teams adopted a five-man line, two different styles of end play developed: "crashing" ends, who rushed into the backfield to disrupt plays, and "stand-up" or "waiting" ends, who played the more traditional containment style. Arena Football League
The Arena Football League (AFL) was a professional arena football league in the United States. It was founded in 1986, but played its first official games in the 1987 season, making it the third longest-running professional football league in North America after the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the National Football League (NFL) until the AFL closed in 2019.
