Ryan Murphy (born October 14, 1992) is an American former professional football safety. He played college football for the Oregon State Beavers, and was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL draft. Professional career Seattle Seahawks On Saturday, May 2, 2015, Murphy was selected by the Seattle Seahawks with the 248th pick in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL draft. The Seahawks waived him on September 5 as part of final roster cuts. Denver Broncos The Denver Broncos signed Murphy to their practice squad on November 3, 2015. On February 7, 2016, Murphy was part of the Broncos team that won Super Bowl 50. In the game, the Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers by a score of 24–10. On September 3, 2016, Murphy was waived by the Broncos. The next day he was signed to the Broncos' practice squad. He was released on September 22, 2016. Ryan Murphy (footballer)
Ryan Murphy (born 24 May 1985) is an Australian rules footballer who played forward for the Fremantle Dockers in the Australian Football League. He was drafted to Fremantle in the 2003 AFL Draft at selection 12. As a junior, he played for the Gippsland Power in the Victorian TAC Cup competition and was regarded as an accurate goal kicker. He was twice named All-Australian at under-18 level. After playing well for the South Fremantle Football Club in the WAFL in 2004, Murphy made his debut in Round 16 against Adelaide in Fremantle's first ever win over Adelaide at Football Park. However he was not given much gametime and ended the match without registering any possessions. He was retained for the following week's game against Sydney, but after again not scoring, he was dropped back to South Fremantle for the remainder of the season. Ryan J. Murphy (born March 21, 1979) is an American professional ice hockey forward who played the 2009–10 season in both the AHL and SM-liiga. He was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 4th round (113th overall) of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. Amateur career Murphy skated with the Thornhill Islanders in the Metro Junior A Hockey League before attending Bowling Green State University where he played four years of CCHA collegiate hockey with the Bowling Green Falcons men's ice hockey team (1997–2001). Ryan Murphy (born March 31, 1993) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman currently playing with EC Red Bull Salzburg in the ICE Hockey League (ICEHL). He was originally drafted in the first round, 12th overall, by the Carolina Hurricanes during the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Murphy was selected by the Kitchener Rangers third overall in the 2009 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Bantam Draft. He began his first season as a 16-year-old and led the OHL in rookie defencemen scoring, scoring 39 points in 62 games playing on a defensive pairing with Columbus Blue Jackets first-rounder John Moore.
