Ryan Medrano
Ryan Medrano (born August 26, 1997) is an American Paralympian track and field athlete. He represented the United States at the 2024 Summer Paralympics where he won two silver medals. Additionally he is a Parapan American Games gold medalist and a World Para Athletics Championships silver medalist. He competed on the 43rd season of ''Survivor''. Early life Medrano was born three months early, which resulted in fluid in the cerebellum of his brain. Additionally he was born with cerebral palsy. ''Survivor'' In fall of 2022 Medrano appeared on the 43rd season of ''Survivor''. He was voted off on day 17 and was the third member of the jury. While competing on the show he met 2020 Paralympic athlete Noelle Lambert, who informed him that cerebral palsy was a recognized disability sport classification and he could compete internationally as a para-athlete. Athletics At The 2024 Summer Paralympics
Para-athletics, Athletics at the 2024 Summer Paralympics was held at the Stade de France and Les Invalides in Paris. There were 164 events: 90 for men, 73 for women and one mixed event, three fewer men's events than the previous Games while the women's and mixed events remain the same. It was the largest contest of the Games programme regarding athlete numbers and medal events to be scheduled. Classification and events Participating athletes are given a classification depending on their disabilities (T denotes track events, F denotes field events). 2023 World Para Athletics Championships
The 2023 World Para Athletics Championships was a Paralympic track and field meet organized by the World Para Athletics subcommittee of the International Paralympic Committee. It was the 10th edition of the event and was held in the Charlety Stadium in Paris, France, from 8 to 17 July 2023. Paris was announced as the host city in December 2021. WTOC-TV (channel 11) is a television station in Savannah, Georgia, United States, affiliated with CBS and owned by Gray Media. The station's studios are located off Chatham Center Drive in Savannah's Chatham Parkway section, and its transmitter is located along Fort Argyle Road/ SR 204 in unincorporated Chatham County. History On October 15, 1929, WTOC radio signed on as the first radio station in the Savannah area. It was an enterprise of civic group Junior Board of Trade that was the forerunner of the Savannah Jaycees. It was later purchased by William Knight, Jr., who eventually added an FM station in 1946. On February 14, 1954, Knight took a great financial risk and established WTOC-TV as the first television station in the Savannah area. WTOC-AM-FM had long been the area's CBS Radio Network affiliate, so WTOC-TV joined CBS and has been with the network ever since.
