Ryan McMahon (born 19 October 1979) is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Ladysmith, British Columbia. He records and performs as a solo artist and also as a member of the folk/rock band Lion Bear Fox. Chemainus, British Columbia
Chemainus is a community within the municipality of North Cowichan in the Chemainus Valley on the east coast of southern Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Founded as an unincorporated logging town in 1858, Chemainus is now famous for its 53 outdoor murals. This outdoor gallery has given birth to many businesses, including a theatre, antiques dealers, and eateries. The tourist industry stemming from the murals helped rejuvenate the town after its large sawmill closed in the early 1980s and was replaced by a smaller, more efficient, mill. The name ''Chemainus'' comes from the native shaman and prophet "Tsa-meeun-is" meaning ''broken chest''. Legend says that the man survived a massive wound in his chest from an arrow in battle to become a powerful chief. Nickelback
Nickelback is a Canadian Rock music, rock band formed in 1995 in Hanna, Alberta, Hanna, Alberta. Garth "GGGarth" Richardson, (born ), is a Canadian record producer and sound engineer. He is the son of music producer Jack Richardson. Megan McNeil
Megan McNeil (September 7, 1990 – January 28, 2011) was a Canadian singer. The only child of Dave and Suzanne McNeil, she was diagnosed in 2006 with adrenalcortical carcinoma, a rare type of adrenal cancer when she was 16 years old. She studied at Seaquam Secondary and graduated in 2008. She also attended Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Surrey for Sciences. She beat cancer back three times, but succumbed during her fourth battle, at the age of 20. "The Will to Survive" McNeil gained media attention when she recorded a charity single written by her entitled ''The Will to Survive'' as a tribute to tens of thousands of cancer-fighting children and youth.
