Ryan Dorow
Ryan Patrick Dorow (born August 21, 1995) is an American former professional baseball infielder, who is the current head baseball coach of the Hope College Flying Dutchmen. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Texas Rangers. Amateur career Dorow attended South Haven High School in South Haven, Michigan. Undrafted out of high school in 2013, he attended Adrian College to play college baseball for the Bulldogs. He was a four-year starter at shortstop for Adrian from 2014 through 2017. He played for the Battle Creek Bombers of the Northwoods League in 2016. Dorow was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 30th round, with the 914th overall selection, of the 2017 MLB draft. Professional career Dorow split his professional debut season of 2017 between the AZL Rangers of the Rookie-level Arizona League and the Hickory Crawdads of the Single–A South Atlantic League, hitting a combined .297/.381/.391 with 17 RBI. Round Rock Express
The Round Rock Express are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and the Triple-A (baseball), Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers (baseball), Texas Rangers. They are located in Round Rock, Texas, and play their home games at the Dell Diamond. The team is named for National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, Baseball Hall of Famer and Texas native Nolan Ryan, who was nicknamed "The Ryan Express." Ryan, along with son Reid Ryan and Don Sanders make up the team's ownership group, Ryan Sanders Baseball. Minor League Baseball (MiLB) is a professional baseball organization below Major League Baseball (MLB), constituted of teams affiliated with MLB clubs. Triple-A West
The Pacific Coast League (PCL) is a Minor League Baseball league that operates in the Western United States. Along with the International League, it is one of two leagues playing at the Triple-A level, which is one grade below Major League Baseball (MLB). The PCL was one of the premier regional baseball leagues in the first half of the 20th century. Although it was never recognized as a true major league, to which it aspired, its quality of play was considered very high. A number of top stars of the era, including Joe DiMaggio and Ted Williams, were products of the league. Texas League
The Texas League is a Minor League Baseball league which has operated in the South Central United States since 1902. It is classified as a Double-A league. Despite the league's name, only its five South Division teams are actually based in the state of Texas; the five North Division teams are located in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Frisco RoughRiders
The Frisco RoughRiders (often shortened to 'Riders) are a Minor League Baseball team of the Texas League and the Double-A (baseball), Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers (baseball), Texas Rangers. Based in Frisco, Texas, the team is named after the 1st U.S. Volunteer Cavalry Regiment during the Spanish–American War, headed by future American President Theodore Roosevelt, nicknamed "The Rough Riders" by the American press. The Carolina League is a Minor League Baseball league which has operated along the Atlantic Coast of the United States since 1945. Down East Wood Ducks
The Down East Wood Ducks were a Minor League Baseball team of the Carolina League and the Single-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. They were located in Kinston, North Carolina, and are named for the wood duck, a colorful local waterfowl. Established in 2017, the team played its home games at Grainger Stadium, which opened in 1949 and holds 4,100 people. The Rangers signed a 12-year contract with the city to provide a team to play at Grainger Stadium beginning with the 2017 season. They were members of the Carolina League from 2017 to 2020.
