Ryan Cleckner is a former Army Ranger sniper and team leader with the 1st Ranger Battalion of the US Army. He is currently a firearms attorney, a co-founder of Gun University that provides gun reviews, buyers' guides, training, and news including updates of applicable law, the founder of, and an instructor for, RocketFFL, a business that provides instruction for obtaining federal firearms licenses from the ATF, co-founder of Mayday Safety, a software company providing smartphone application software for emergency responses, founder of FFLSafe, a software company that provides free ATF compliance software, as well as the author of the Long Range Shooting Handbook. 1st Ranger Battalion
The 1st Ranger Battalion, currently based at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia, United States, is the first of three ranger battalions belonging to the United States Army's 75th Ranger Regiment (United States), 75th Ranger Regiment. It was originally formed shortly after the United States' entry into World War II and was modeled after the British Commandos during the war. Members from the unit were the first American soldiers to see combat in the European theatre of World War II, European theater when they participated in the failed Dieppe Raid, raid on Dieppe in France in 1942, during which three Rangers were killed and several more were captured. Barrett M82
The Barrett M82 (standardized by the U.S. military as the M107) is a Recoil operation, recoil-operated, semi-automatic rifle, semi-automatic anti-materiel rifle developed by Barrett Firearms Manufacturing and produced in the United States. Also called the Light Fifty (due to its Chamber (firearms), chambering of the .50 BMG, .50 BMG 12.7×99mm NATO cartridge), the weapon is classified in three variants: the original M82A1 (and M82A3) models, the bullpup M82A2 model, and the Barrett M107A1, with an attached muzzle brake (designed to accept a suppressor, and made out of titanium instead of steel). The M82A2 is no longer manufactured, though the Barrett XM500, XM500 can be seen as its successor. The second season of the History Channel television series ''Top Shot'', titled ''Top Shot Reloaded'' commenced airing on February 8, 2011, and concluded on April 26, 2011. The season contained twelve episodes, and was filmed over a period of 35 days in the fall of 2010 in Santa Clarita, California. The winner of the season was American Chris Reed. Chris Reed later appeared as a coach in Seasons 3 and 4; George Reinas also appeared as a coach in Seasons 4 and 5. Brian Zins, Joe Serafini, and Jamie Franks returned for '' Top Shot: All-Stars''.
