Ryan Carmichael (born 3 August 2001) is a Northern Irish professional footballer who plays as a forward for MLS Next Pro club Atlanta United 2. College career In 2020, Carmichael would be given an opportunity of a four-year scholarship to play in the United States of America at an NCAA Division I school, which would be Hofstra University or continue to play in Northern Ireland with Portadown. He would choose to leave Northern Ireland and move to the United States of America to represent Hofstra University and play for Hofstra Pride men's soccer team. Carmichael made 75 appearances and recorded 46 goals and 18 assists for Hofstra University in 4 seasons. The 2024 MLS SuperDraft was the 25th edition of the MLS SuperDraft, a sports draft to select amateur, usually collegiate, soccer players that are not affiliate with an MLS club, or college soccer players that had their Homegrown player rights relinquished by their parent MLS club. The draft was held on December 19, 2023, marking the second year in a row that the draft was held in December. Despite the draft being held in 2023, the draft retained the 2024 branding. The 2024 MLS Next Pro season is the third season of MLS Next Pro, the second-tier league of Major League Soccer. It began March 15 and concluded on October 6. The 2019–20 NIFL Championship was the fourth season of the NIFL Championship since gaining senior status. It is the second-tier of the Northern Ireland Football League - the national football league in Northern Ireland. The season began on 3 August 2019 and was originally scheduled to conclude in April 2020, However, the season was suspended on 13 March 2020 as a result of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic.
