Ruth Minnikin
Ruth Minnikin is a Canadian singer-songwriter. She was formerly a member of Booming Airplanes, The Heavy Blinkers, The Guthries and Reels, and now performs as Ruth Minnikin and her Bandwagon. She received nominations for Best Female Album and Best Folk Album at the 2007 Nova Scotia Music Awards. Minnikin has performed at the East Coast Music Awards, South by Southwest, and North by Northeast. Minnikin has collaborated frequently with other artists, and has contributed to 45 recordings. The Handsome Family is an American music duo consisting of husband and wife Brett and Rennie Sparks formed in Chicago, Illinois, and as of 2001 based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They are perhaps best known for their song " Far from Any Road" from the album '' Singing Bones'', which was used as the main title theme for the first season of the 2014 crime drama '' True Detective''. Old Man Luedecke is the recording name of two-time Juno Award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter and banjo player Chris Luedecke of Chester, Nova Scotia. He is most noted as a two-time Juno Award winner for Roots & Traditional Album of the Year – Solo, winning at the Juno Awards of 2009 for ''Proof of Love'' and at the Juno Awards of 2011 for ''My Hands are on Fire and Other Love Songs''. The Hylozoists
The Hylozoists are a Canadian instrumental rock supergroup formed in 2001 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The band's name is derived from hylozoism and was started as a side project of record producer and multi-instrumentalist Paul Aucoin. History The Hylozoists is an instrumental band conceived by producer Paul Aucoin in 2001. Aucoin wrote and recorded their first album La Nouvelle Gauche (using a line-up of musicians mainly from Halifax) in his studio in Nova Scotia. Paul Bellini (born September 12, 1959) is a Canadian comedy writer and television actor best known for his work on the comedy series ''The Kids in the Hall'' and ''This Hour Has 22 Minutes''. Zandari Festa
Zandari Festa is a three-day music festival and showcase held in various live music venues and other locations in the area around Hongik University in Seoul. Every year, it offers around 100 music acts from Korea and around the world, as well as music industry delegates representing festivals and labels. In cooperation with foreign embassies, each year it offers national showcases. There are also conference events, secret shows, and various other networking events throughout the festival. Rolling Thunder Revue
The Rolling Thunder Revue was a 1975–1976 concert tour by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan with numerous musicians and collaborators. The purpose of the tour was to allow Dylan, who had now become a major recording artist and concert performer, to play in smaller auditoriums in less populated cities where he could be more intimate with his audiences. Some of the performers on the tour were Joan Baez, Roger McGuinn, Joni Mitchell, Ronee Blakely and Ramblin' Jack Elliott. Dale Murray is a Canadian singer-songwriter and musician. He is a guitarist and vocalist for the indie rock band Cuff the Duke, and releases solo material under his own name. Biography Murray resides in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and is the nephew of Anne Murray. In the late 1990s, along with Ruth Minnikin and Matt Mays, Murray formed The Guthries. They released two albums, ''Off Windmill'' in 2000, and the self-titled ''The Guthries'' in 2002. The band toured extensively throughout Canada and the UK.
