or is a municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Tana bru. Among the other villages in the municipality are Austertana, Bonakas, Polmak, Rustefjelbma, and Skiippagurra. The municipality is the 5th largest by area out of the 357 municipalities in Norway. Deanu-Tana is the 239th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 2,807. Tana Church
Tana Church () is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Deatnu-Tana Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. It is located in the village of Rustefjelbma. It is the main church for the Tana parish which is part of the Indre Finnmark prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The unique, brown, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1964 using designs drawn up by the architect Esben Poulsson (1907-1974) to replace the old church that was burned down by the retreating German forces towards the end of World War II. The church seats about 300 people. History The first church in Tana was built around the year 1720. In 1851, the old church was torn down and replaced with a new church on the same site. In 1892, a new church was constructed on the same site. This new building was designed by the architect Jacob Wilhelm Nordan. Tanafjorden
The Tanafjord (, , or ) is a large fjord in Finnmark county, Norway. It is located in the municipalities of Tana, Gamvik, and Berlevåg. Its orientation is mainly north–south, reaching approximately from the small village of Smalfjord in Tana Municipality in the south to the mouth of the fjord at the Barents Sea. The fjord separates the Nordkinn Peninsula (Gamvik Municipality) in the west from the Varanger Peninsula (Berlevåg Municipality) in the east. The Tana River empties into the southern part of the fjord. There are several side fjords which branch off of the main Tanafjorden including the Hopsfjorden, Langfjorden, and Gulgofjorden.
