The Russian Gymnastics Federation (RGF; ) is the governing body of gymnastics in Russia. The Russian Gymnastics Federation is a member federation of the European Union of Gymnastics. History The Russian Gymnastics Federation was established on 1 October 2024 as a result of merging five Russian sports federations governing specific gymnastics disciplines (artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, trampolining, sport acrobatics and sport aerobics). Russian Railways president Oleg Belozerov was elected head of the united federation in a one-candidate election held on the same day. Oleg Belozerov
Oleg Valentinovich Belozyorov (; born on 26 September 1969) is a Latvian-born Russian politician and manager. He is serving as president of Russian Railways since 20 August 2015. He served as First Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation (2015); Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation (2009–2015); and the head of the Russian Federal Road Agency (2004–2009). He has the federal state civilian service rank of 1st class Active State Councillor of the Russian Federation. The Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation () is the governing body of rhythmic gymnastics in Russia. On 1 October 2024, it was merged into the Russian Gymnastics Federation together with four other Russian sports federations governing specific gymnastics disciplines. History The All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation was founded in 1963. It was the central department of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation of the Soviet Union. Aerobic gymnastics or sport aerobics is a competitive sport originating from traditional aerobics in which complex, high-intensity movement patterns and elements of varying difficulty are performed to music. Nature of the game The performance area is square for juniors or square for adults and for aero dance and step. In International competition there are 9 different events: Individual Women, Individual Men, Mixed Pairs, Trios, Group (five athletes), Step, and Dance (both two last categories have eight athletes).
