Russell Kiefel
Russell John Kiefel (1951 – 20 November 2016) was an Australian stage (theatre), stage, film and television actor. After graduating from the National Institute of Dramatic Art, Kiefel started his screen acting career with a role in the 1977 feature film ''The Singer and the Dancer''. He followed this with roles in ''Breaker Morant (film), Breaker Morant'' (1980), ''Twelfth Night (1986 film), Twelfth Night'' (1986), ''Call Me Mr. Brown'' (1990) and television film ''The Leaving of Liverpool (miniseries), The Leaving of Liverpool'' (1992). Kiefel appeared in several television dramas, including ''Home and Away'', ''Fireflies (TV series), Fireflies'' and ''Stingers (TV series), Stingers''. He starred in an episode of ''Twisted Tales (Australian TV series), Twisted Tales'' in 1998. Wildside (Australian TV Series)
''Wildside'' is an Australian crime drama television series broadcast by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation from 1997 to 1999. It was created by director Michael Jenkins and producer Ben Gannon. ''Wildside'' began as a 180-minute miniseries which aired over two nights on November 23, 1997 and November 24, 1997. It returned on February 4, 1998 in a one-hour format. The show stars Tony Martin as Bill McCoy, a former detective who comes to Sydney looking for his missing son. Unlike other police procedurals, it also follows the staff of a crisis centre, run by Dr. Maxine Summers ( Rachael Blake), in the gritty, red-light district of the city. Belvoir is an Australian theatre company based at the Belvoir St Theatre in Sydney, Australia, originally known as Company B. Its artistic director is Eamon Flack. The theatre comprises two performing spaces: the Upstairs Theatre and the smaller Downstairs Theatre. The Old Tote Theatre Company (1963–1978) was a New South Wales theatre company that began as the standing acting and theatre company of Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA).
