Russell C. Clark
Russell Charles Clark (December 22, 1878 – July 15, 1964) was a farmer, merchant and political figure in Prince Edward Island. He represented 3rd Queens in the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island from 1928 to 1931 and from 1935 to 1959 as a Liberal. He was born in Mount Stewart, Prince Edward Island, the son of Solomon C. Clark and Hannah Newberry, and was educated at Prince of Wales College and Charlottetown Business School. He was a merchant in Mount Stewart, also operated processing plants for lobsters and blueberries, owned a fox ranch and was a partner in a car dealership. In 1900, Clark married Marion J. McKay. He served in the province's Executive Council as a minister without portfolio. He was defeated when he ran for reelection in 1931. Clark died at the Prince Edward Island Hospital in Charlottetown at the age of 85. His son Keir Keir is a surname and given name shortened from Keiron. Mount Stewart, Prince Edward Island
Mount Stewart is a rural municipality in Prince Edward Island, Canada. It is located in the northeastern part of Queens County, at the head of the once-navigable portion of the Hillsborough River at the point where the river begins to narrow significantly. Mount Stewart had a population of 226 at the time of the 2021 Census. Prince Of Wales College
Prince of Wales College (PWC) is a former university college, which was located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. PWC merged with St. Dunstan's University in 1969 to form the University of Prince Edward Island. PWC traces its history to 1804 when land was set aside by Lieutenant-Governor Edmund Fanning for a college - the colony's first. In 1821 a district school called the National School opened on the site located on Kent Street in the east end of Charlottetown. In 1835 Central Academy opened on a site along Grafton Street, immediately south of the National School. The National School closed in the early 1850s and the provincial Normal School for training teachers opened on the site in 1856. Prince Edward Island Hospital
The Prince Edward Island Hospital is a former acute care hospital that was located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. It was the first public general hospital established in the province and the largest such facility throughout its history. The facility was established by the provincial government on January 28, 1884 on a property known as "Haszard House" located at present-day 24-36 Longworth Avenue in the northeast part of the city. The Prince Edward Island Hospital was predated by the Charlottetown Hospital, which was established in 1879 by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charlottetown. The city's residents demanded that the government open "a general" hospital that was not affiliated with a religious body. Charlottetown
Charlottetown is the capital and largest city of the Provinces and territories of Canada, Canadian province of Prince Edward Island, and the county seat of Queens County, Prince Edward Island, Queens County.
