Russell Basser (born 20 March 1960) is an Australian former water polo player who competed in the 1984 Summer Olympics. He is Jewish, and played in the Maccabiah Games in Israel in the 1980s. Water polo is a competitive sport, competitive team sport played in water between two teams of seven players each. The game consists of four quarters in which the teams attempt to score goals by throwing the water polo ball, ball into the opposing team's goal (sport), goal. The team with more goals at the end of the game wins the match. Each team is made up of six field players and one Goalkeeper (water polo), goalkeeper.
