Ruslan Ajba
Ruslan Ajba is the current Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security of Abkhazia. Early life and education Ajba was born in 1975 in the village of Achandara, Gudauta District. He finished school in 1992 and graduated in 1999 in finance and credit from the economic faculty of the Abkhazian State University. In subsequent years Ajba worked as Chief Specialist in the Main Control Directorate of the presidential administration. Pension Fund Head and Minister for Labour On 11 November 2011, Ajba was appointed Head of the Pension Fund by President Alexander Ankvab. Beslan Konstantinovich Bartsits (russian: Беслан Константинович Барциц; born 22 July 1978) is a former Prime Minister of Abkhazia, having been appointed by President Raul Khajimba on 5 August 2016 with his term ending 25 April 2018. In the past, he has served as Head of the Presidential Administration, Head of Gagra District and Member of Parliament. Early life and education Bartsits was born in Gagra. In 2000, he graduated in jurisprudence from the Abkhazian State University, and between 2001 and 2004 he was a postgraduate student at Rostov State University. Between 2007 and 2009, he was assistant to Raul Khajimba in his capacity of Vice President of Abkhazia. Suren Kerselyan is a former Vice Premier and Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security of Abkhazia. Kerselyan was appointed as Vice Premier and Labour Minister on 15 October 2014 by newly elected President Raul Khajimba, in the cabinet of Prime Minister Beslan Butba. After Butba was replaced as Prime Minister by Artur Mikvabia, Kerselyan was replaced as Vice Premier by Dmitri Serikov on 8 April 2015. Abkhaz People
Abkhazians (russian: Абхазы), or Abkhazs ( ab, Аԥсуаа, Aṕswaа, ), are a Northwest Caucasian ethnic group, mainly living in Abkhazia, a disputed region on the northeastern coast of the Black Sea. A large Abkhaz diaspora population resides in Turkey, the origins of which lie in the population movements from the Caucasus in the late 19th century. Many Abkhaz also live in other parts of the former Soviet Union, particularly in Russia and Ukraine. Gudauta District
Gudauta District is a district of Abkhazia, Georgia’s breakaway republic. It corresponds to the eponymous Georgian district. Its capital is Gudauta, the town by the same name. The population of the district was 34,869 at the time of the 2003 census, down from 57,334 in 1989. By the time of the 2011 Census, the population had increased to 36,775. Administration Lev Shamba was reappointed as Administration Head on 10 May 2001 following the March 2001 local elections. On 16 June 2003, President Ardzinba assented to Shamba's request for dismissal and replaced him with First Deputy Minister for Education Beslan Dbar. Abkhazian State University
The Abkhazian State University is the only university in Abkhazia. It was founded in 1979 on the basis of the Sukhumi Pedagogical Institute. Its first rector was Zurab Anchabadze. The university consists the departments of physics and mathematics, biology and geography, history, philology, economics, law; pedagogical and agro-engineering departments. The first college in Abkhazia, the ''Sukhumi Agro-pedagogical Institute'' was founded in 1932 and transformed into the ''Maxim Gorky Pedagogical Institute'' the following year. Following the rallies and street demonstrations in 1978 it was transformed into Abkhazian State University with Abkhaz, Georgian and Russian sections.
