Alexander Marc Ruoff (born August 29, 1986) is a retired American professional basketball player. In college, he played shooting guard for the West Virginia Mountaineers basketball team. Ruoff set school records for the most 3-pointers made in a game and most career 3-point field goals. Early life Ruoff was born in Hamilton, Ohio, and relocated to Spring Hill, Florida in 1999. He attended Central High School in Brooksville, Florida, where he was a four-year varsity player. As a senior, Ruoff averaged 30 points and 12 rebounds before injuring his foot in December. Among other accolades, Ruoff earned all-state honors, Hernando County player of the year, and was nominated as a McDonald's All-American. He holds school records for assists, blocks, and steals, and ties the school record for points in a game. Bernie Ruoff (born October 12, 1951) is a former punter and placekicker for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers from 1975 to 1979 and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats from 1980 to 1987 of the Canadian Football League. He finished his CFL career in 1988, playing 5 games for the British Columbia Lions. Ruoff scored 1,772 points in 14 seasons in the CFL and is one of the leading scorers in league history. He also holds CFL records for the most punts in one game (22 in 1984), and most punting yards in one game (1,054 in 1984). He attended college at Syracuse University, where he played for Hall of Fame coach Ben Schwartzwalder. He attended Cameron Heights Collegiate School. Richard Ruoff (18 August 1883 – 30 March 1967) was a general in the Wehrmacht of Nazi Germany during World War II. He commanded the 4th Panzer Army and the 17th Army on the Eastern Front. World War II Ruoff took command of V Army Corps on 1 May 1939, and led this unit into World War II. He also concurrently commanded V Wehrkreis in Stuttgart. Ruoff then was given command of the 4th Panzer Army from 8 January 1942 to 31 May 1942. The 4th Panzer Army was part of Army Group A which was formed when Army Group South was split into two formations for the summer offensive of 1942. Ruoff commanded the 17th Army from 1 June 1942 to 24 June 1943. The 17th Army was also part of Army Group A.
