''Runaway Ladies'' is a 1938 British comedy film directed by Jean de Limur and starring Betty Stockfeld, Claude Dauphin and Hugh Wakefield. It was shot at the Elstree Studios outside London in 1935. It was the English-language version of the French film '' The Slipper Episode''. Jean de Limur (13 November 1887, Vouhé, Charente-Maritime – 5 June 1976, Paris) was a French film director, actor and screenwriter. His works include '' La Garçonne'' (1936) and ''The Letter'' (1929). Robert Rietti, (born Lucio Rietti; 8 February 1923 – 3 April 2015), was an actor, and Oscar-nominated director of Anglo-Italian descent.
