Rui Pedro Viegas Silva Gomes Duarte (born 16 September 1978) is a Portuguese former professional football manager and former player who played as a central midfielder. He is the current head coach of Brazilian club Athletic-MG. He amassed Primeira Liga totals of 162 matches and 12 goals over ten seasons, representing Belenenses, Estrela da Amadora and Olhanense in the competition. He added 164 games and 26 goals in the Segunda Liga, for four clubs. In 2017, Duarte began working as a coach, leading Farense and Trofense to promotion from the third tier. Playing career Born in Lisbon, Duarte joined the youth ranks of local C.F. Os Belenenses as an 11-year-old, making his Primeira Liga debut for the club in the 1999–2000 season (seven matches, one goal). Rui Pedro Couto Ramalho (born 2 July 1988), known as Rui Pedro, is a Portuguese former professional footballer who played as a forward. Club career Born in Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto District, Rui Pedro joined FC Porto's youth system in 1998, at the age of 10. He was promoted to the main squad for 2007–08, but his input consisted of 45 minutes in a 0–0 away draw against C.D. Fátima in the Taça da Liga. He finished the season on loan, appearing rarely for fellow Primeira Liga side C.F. Estrela da Amadora. Rui Pedro spent the following three years out on loan, appearing for three Segunda Liga clubs and playing and scoring regularly for the last two, Gil Vicente F.C. and Leixões SC. Rui Pedro da Silva e Sousa (born 20 March 1998), known as Rui Pedro, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a forward or winger for Turkish Süper Lig club Hatayspor. Club career Born in Castelo de Paiva, Aveiro District, Rui Pedro joined Porto's youth system in 2012, aged 14.
