Rue Royale, Band
Rue Royale is an Anglo-American indie folk band based in Nottingham, England. The band was formed in Chicago by the married couple Brookln and Ruth Dekker in 2006. "We play hypnotic indie-folk-pop influenced by American and British folk, soul and rock." says Brookln. Initially based in Chicago, the band's first release ''The Search for Where to Go'' EP was self-released in January 2007. "Once we decided to start a band, we hit it running. We decided the next day (literally) to write and record a 5 song ep in 6 weeks time." After a year of playing the Chicago circuit, Rue Royale recorded their self-titled full length ''Rue Royale'' and took it on their first European tour from 1 March – 30 April 2008. This season mark the end of X Factor Denmark on DR, followed an announcement made by DR on August 16. Thees Uhlmann (born April 16, 1974 in Hemmoor, Lower Saxony) is a German musician and author. He is a founding member of the indie-pop band Tomte and also writes for the magazines ''Intro'', ''Visions'', ''Spex'' and ''Musikexpress''. 1987-2011: Tomte, various projects Singer-songwriter Thees Uhlmann helped form the Hamburg-based band Tomte in the late-eighties under a different name. ZDFkultur (stylized as zdf.kultur) was a German free-to-air television channel owned by ZDF. It was launched on 7 May 2011, replacing ZDF theaterkanal. It mainly broadcast music shows, such as ''Later... with Jools Holland'', pop concerts and series from the ZDF archive, but also movies and theatre plays. On 1 May 2012, a HDTV, high-definition simulcast was launched on satellite. On 22 February 2013, ZDF director Thomas Bellut announced that ZDFkultur would close in the near future, due to cost-saving measures at ZDF. The channel council agreed Bellut's proposal on 8 March 2013. The programming after the closure announcement consisting mostly of old ZDF archive content from the 1970s and 80s, with an annual budget of around €2 million.
