Rudolf Lucieer
Rudolf Lucieer (born 10 November 1942) is a Dutch actor. He has appeared in 36 films and television shows since 1966. He starred in the 1967 film ''Paranoia'', which was entered into the 17th Berlin International Film Festival. In 1992 he won the Golden Calf for Best Actor for his role in the movie The Northerners. ''Long Live the Queen'' () is a 1995 Dutch children's film written and directed by Esmé Lammers. It tells the tale of a little girl who learns to play chess thanks to enchanted chess pieces. The film was selected as the Dutch entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 69th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee. It also won the Golden Calf for Best Feature Film. The film was dedicated to chess grandmaster Max Euwe, the grandfather of the director. Plot Sara, a young girl with an active imagination, buys a chess set from a friend's father with her pocket money. ''Lifespan'' is a 1976 Dutch thriller film directed by Sandy Whitelaw, Alexander Whitelaw and starring Hiram Keller, Tina Aumont and Klaus Kinski. Plot American Dr. Ben Land travels to Amsterdam to meet with Dr. Linden, an expert on aging who is supposedly close to a breakthrough.
