Rudolf Frommer
Rudolf Frommer (fegyverneki Frommer Rudolf; 4 August 1868 – 1 September 1936) was a Hungarian weapon designer. He was raised to the Hungarian nobility with the pre-name 'fegyverneki' by Franz Joseph I for his achievements in weapons design. He had over 100 patents, among them semi-automatic handguns starting in 1901, and including the Frommer 1910 in 7.65mm Roth, the Frommer Stop in .32 ACP, and the FÉG 37M Pistol, 37M.

Franz Joseph I
Franz Joseph I or Francis Joseph I ( ; ; 18 August 1830 – 21 November 1916) was Emperor of Austria, King of Hungary, and the ruler of the Grand title of the emperor of Austria, other states of the Habsburg monarchy from 1848 until his death in 1916. In the early part of his reign, his realms and territories were referred to as the Austrian Empire, but were reconstituted as the dual monarchy of Austria-Hungary in 1867. From 1 May 1850 to 24 August 1866, he was also president of the German Confederation. Frommer Stop
The Frommer STOP (Szabályozott Öntöltő Pisztoly, StÖP) is a Hungarian semi-automatic pistol which was manufactured by small arms firm Fegyver- és Gépgyár (FÉG) in Budapest. It was designed by Rudolf Frommer and adopted by the Austro-Hungarian Army in 1912 as the Pisztoly 12.M alongside the Steyr-Hahn. The STOP was also sold to Bulgaria, Germany and Turkey for service use. The pistol was manufactured in various forms from 1912 to 1929 and was also used by the Ottoman Army and the Royal Hungarian Army, seeing action in World War I and World War II. Its design features a long frame with a 4-groove rifled barrel using a long-recoil, straight-pull, rotating bolt locking action with the barrel and bolt employing independent return springs in a cylindrical housing above the barrel. The FÉG 37M is a Hungarian semi-automatic pistol based on a design by Rudolf Frommer. Design It was an improvement over the earlieFrommer 29M It was made in 2 chamberings. The .380 ACP (9x17mmSR) chambered version was used by the Hungarian Army, while the .32 ACP (7.65x17mmSR) version was supplied to Hungary's German allies during World War II.
