Rubizh Brigade (Ukraine)
The 4th Brigade of Operational Assignment named after Serhiy Mykhalchuk (), also known as the 4th Rapid Reaction Brigade "Rubizh" () is a brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine formed in 2016. The brigade was established as an elite unit trained and organized under NATO standards. The unit would receive expert support, high-quality selection of fighters and technical equipment. In 2023, the unit was reorganized as one of the National Guard's new Offensive Guard units and renamed as the "Rubizh Brigade". The National Guard of Ukraine (NGU; , ; /NHU ) is the Ukrainian national gendarmerie and internal military force. It is part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, responsible for public security. Originally created as an agency under the direct control of the Verkhovna Rada on 4 November 1991, following Ukrainian independence, it was later disbanded and merged into the Internal Troops of Ukraine in 2000 by President Leonid Kuchma as part of a "cost-saving" scheme. Bakhmut is a city in eastern Ukraine. It is officially the administrative center of Bakhmut urban hromada and Bakhmut Raion in Donetsk Oblast. The city is located on the Bakhmutka River, about north of Donetsk, the administrative center of the oblast. Battle Of Severodonetsk
The battle of Sievierodonetsk was a military engagement in the wider battle of Donbas of the eastern Ukraine campaign during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The city of Sievierodonetsk acted as the administrative center of unoccupied Luhansk Oblast prior to the invasion. Eastern Ukraine Campaign
Ukraine's easternmost oblasts, Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kharkiv, have been the site of an ongoing theatre of operation since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
