Ruan Center
The Ruan Center is a high-rise office building located at 666 Grand Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa, which was built by Ruan Transportation. The building was completed in 1975 and stands at a height of , and was the tallest building in Iowa until the completion of 801 Grand in 1991. The south side of the building's site was formerly occupied by The Chamberlain Hotel. The Ruan Center is locally known as the "rusty skyscraper", for its Cor-Ten steel cladding that sheds rust.Bizz Buzz. John Ruan House
The John Ruan House is a historical mansion located in Frankford, a neighborhood in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. It was built in 1796 for John Ruan, a Pennsylvanian physician and community leader. History In 1794, Dr. John Ruan, a Pennsylvanian physician, erected a small building in Frankford. After paying taxes to it, he built the John Ruan House, attaching it to the previous building, which may have been used as a kitchen and servants' quarters. After Ryan suffered financial losses in 1822, the house was sold to a merchant. It changed ownership several times before it was converted into a kindergarten in 1890. In 1921, the Knights of Columbus acquired the building, using it for meetings and social events. It was acquired again in 1958 by the Philadelphia Camp Corporation, who converted it into a museum. Ruan, County Clare
Ruan () is a village and civil parish in County Clare, Ireland. It is in the Catholic parish of Dysart and Ruan. Location Ruan is near the Burren and between Corofin, County Clare, Corofin, Crusheen and Ennis. Ennis is the nearest major town, 10 km to the south. The name Ruan () is an old Irish term for the alder tree, at one time used to make red dye. The parish contains Dromore Lake. Dromore wood is a wildlife sanctuary, with diverse flora and fauna including badgers, pine martens, squirrels and foxes. There are two self-guiding nature trails. The five lakes of Dromore are rich in fish. Ruan contains the parish church of St Mary's. The church's spire caught fire and collapsed after a lightning strike in December 2024. Grade–Ruan is a civil parish on the Lizard peninsula in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom, approximately south of Falmouth. It is a rural parish bounded to the east by St Keverne parish and by the sea; to the west by Mullion and Cury parishes; and to the south by Landewednack parish. Grade–Ruan civil parish encompasses part of Goonhilly Downs and the major settlements are Ruan Minor, St Ruan and Cadgwith. The parish was formed in 1934 because falling population necessitated merging the ecclesiastical parishes of Grade, Ruan Major and Ruan Minor. All three were in the Deanery and Hundred of Kerrier. He made his provincial debut on 31 March 2012 as the Golden Lions thrashed the Griffons 71–25 in Johannesburg. Botha started the match before being replaced in the 62nd minute by Hendrik Roodt. Career On 16 January 2019, Ruan joined Major League Soccer club Orlando City on a one-year loan from Brazilian club Barra da Tijuca.
