Durrës ( , ; sq-definite, Durrësi) is the List of cities and towns in Albania#List, second most populous city of the Albania, Republic of Albania and county seat, seat of Durrës County and Durrës Municipality. Arapaj
Arapaj is a village in the former municipality of Rrashbull, Durrës County, Albania. At the 2015 local government reform it became part of the municipality Durrës. It is a southern suburb of Durrës, located near the Mediterranean coast, approximately 6 kilometres south of this city. Arapaj is a noted archaeological site, containing the substantial Basilica of Saint Michael dedicated to Saint Michael, an early Palaeo-Christian church which is believed to back to the fifth or sixth century. It has been declared a Cultural Monument of Albania because of its architectural significance. A mosaic unearthed in the Basilica also demonstrates how engrained its culture was later on with the early Byzantine Empire. Skenderbeu Muscat White Wine
Gjergj Kastrioti (17 January 1468), commonly known as Skanderbeg, was an Albanian feudal lord and military commander who led a rebellion against the Ottoman Empire in what is today Albania, North Macedonia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, and Serbia. A member of the noble Kastrioti family, Skanderbeg was sent as a hostage to the Ottoman court. He graduated from the Enderun School and entered the service of the Ottoman sultan Murad II () for the next twenty years. His rise through the ranks culminated in his appointment as of the Sanjak of Dibra in 1440.
