Roßberg (Haardt)
The Roßberg near Ramberg in the county of Südliche Weinstraße in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate is, at , the third highest mountain in the Palatine Forest. The Roßberg lies in the Haardt, the eastern mountain range of the Palatine Forest in the Palatine Forest Nature Park. Frankenfelsen
The Frankenburg is a natural monument with the ruins of a rock castle in the county of Südliche Weinstraße in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It lies above the Modenbach valley on a rocky outcrop of the ''Frankenberg'' called the ''Frankenfelsen'' and was built to guard the road opposite Meistersel Castle. Ramberg (Palatinate)
Ramberg is a municipality in Südliche Weinstraße district, in Rhineland-Palatinate, western Germany. Location Ramberg lies in the Palatine Forest Nature Park around 7 km (as the crow flies) north-northeast of Annweiler am Trifels. The Dernbach stream, a tributary of the Eisbach, flows through the village from north to south direction and the village itself is surrounded by forested hills. A few hundred metres north of the built-up area is the valley of Holpertal. On the ''Schlossberg'' ("castle hill"), which rises above the village, are the ruins of the castle of Ramburg. Other ruins near Ramberg are: Frankenfelsen Castle, Meistersel Castle and Neuscharfeneck Castle. Südliche Weinstraße ( pfl, Siedlischi Woischdrooß; en, "Southern Wine Route") is a district (''Kreis'') in the south of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Neighboring districts are (from west clockwise) Südwestpfalz, Bad Dürkheim, the district-free city Neustadt (Weinstraße), Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis, Germersheim, and the French ''département'' Bas-Rhin. Palatine Forest Nature Park
The Palatinate Forest Nature Park (german: Naturpark Pfälzerwald) lies in the south of Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany and borders on France. The nature park covers an area of and some 76% of its area is under the woods of the Palatinate Forest, the largest contiguous forest region in Germany. Together with parts of northern Alsace and Lorraine, it forms the Palatinate Forest-North Vosges Biosphere Reserve and has an impressive Bunter sandstone landscape. The park is the responsibility of the ''Naturpark Pfälzerwald e.V.'' founded on 20 July 1982. Modenbach
The Modenbach is a stream, just under {{convert, 30, km long, and a right-hand tributary of the Speyerbach in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Course The Modenbach rises in the Palatine Forest east of the Palatine Watershed at a height of about 460 m. Its source lies a kilometre south of the forester's lodge, ''Forsthaus Heldenstein'', on a saddle between the Steigerkopf (613.6 m) to the east and the ''Pfaffenkopf'' (566.0 m) to the west. A mountain is an elevated portion of the Earth's crust, generally with steep sides that show significant exposed bedrock.
