Royal Württemberg State Railways
The Royal Württemberg State Railways (''Königlich Württembergische Staats-Eisenbahnen'' or ''K.W.St.E.'') were the state railways of the Kingdom of Württemberg (from 1918 the ''People's State of Württemberg'') between 1843 and 1920. Early history As in many other states of the German Empire, there was increasing debate about how to improve transport communications across the country from about 1825. Private interest groups were formed and, from 1834, the state also worked on the question, giving experts the task of finding suitable solutions. After years of preparatory work, it was decided to set up a railway network, the main lines of which would be built by the state. The Railway Bill of 18 April 1843, established the legal foundation for the construction of the railway network; this date is seen as the birthday for the ''K.W.St.E.''. Stuttgart-Obertürkheim Station
Obertürkheim station is located in the Stuttgart district of Obertürkheim in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It is located at the 9.3 kilometer mark of the Fils Valley Railway and is a station on the network of Stuttgart S-Bahn.The station building is a listed building, which now houses apartments and shops. Neu-Ulm Station
Neu-Ulm station is the largest railway station of the Bavarian Große Kreisstadt (major district town) of Neu-Ulm. Other station in Neu-Ulm are Gerlenhofen and Finninger Straße, both on the Neu-Ulm–Kempten railway, and the disused Burlafingen station on the Ulm–Augsburg railway. The station was opened in 1853 and was rebuilt in 2007 as part of the Neu-Ulm 21 project in an open trough structure, which is covered to the northeast and southwest of the platforms. It has four platform tracks and is served daily by about 120 trains operated by Deutsche Bahn and agilis. Bretten Station
Bretten station is the centre of rail transport in the town of Bretten in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The Württemberg Western Railway and the Kraichgau line cross at the station. History Bretten station was opened on 1 October 1853 as part of the construction of Western Railway from Stuttgart to Bruchsal. In the late 1870s, the Kraichgau Railway was opened from Karlsruhe to Heilbronn, creating a railway junction. At the same time the station was moved from near the town centre to its present location at the junction to the west of the town centre. Ulm Central Station
Ulm Hauptbahnhof is the main station in the city of Ulm, which lies on the Danube, on the border of the German states of Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria in the Danube-Iller region (''Region Donau-Iller''). Geislingen (Steige) station is located at the 61.3 kilometre point of the Fils Valley Railway in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. Bietigheim-Bissingen station is a junction station in the town of Bietigheim-Bissingen in the German state of Baden-Württemberg where the Württemberg Western Railway separates from the Franconia Railway.
