Royal Halı Gaziantep
Gaziantep Basketbol is a professional basketball team based in the city of Gaziantep in Turkey that plays in the Turkish Basketball First League (TBL). Their home arena is the Karataş Şahinbey Sport Hall with a capacity of 6,400 seats. History The team was founded in 2007. In 2011 the club promoted to the Turkish Basketball Second League, Second Division. In the 2011–12 season, the team promoted to the top tier Turkish Basketball Super League, TBL. In 2012, Royal Halı (a Turkey, Turkish carpet producer) became head sponsor of the team and the team was re-named to Royal Halı Gaziantep. After the 2015–16 season, the team had financial problems after Royal Halı withdrew and was forced to leave the top tier. After all, the team was able to stay alive and play in the TBL. The 2019–20 Basketbol Süper Ligi was the 54th season of the Basketbol Süper Ligi, the Turkish basketball league system, top-tier level professional club basketball league in Turkey. On 19 March 2020, the league was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Turkey, coronavirus pandemic in Turkey. The 2019 Turkish Basketball Cup () was the 34th edition of Turkey's top-tier level professional national domestic basketball cup competition. The tournament was held from 13 to 17 February 2019 in the Ankara Arena in Ankara, Turkey. Fenerbahçe Beko won the competition by defeating Anadolu Efes 80–70 in the final. The 2017–18 Basketball Champions League was the second season of the Basketball Champions League (BCL), a European-wide professional basketball competition for clubs, that was launched by FIBA. The competition began on 19 September 2017, with the qualifying rounds, and concluded on 6 May 2018, including 20 domestic champions. 2015–16 FIBA Europe Cup
The 2015–16 FIBA Europe Cup was the inaugural season of the newly formed basketball competition organised by FIBA. The season started on 21 October 2015 and ended on 1 May 2016. The competition replaced the FIBA EuroChallenge and had the aim to take the place of Eurocup (organised by Euroleague Basketball), as the second-tier competition in Europe.
