Roy Martin (musician)
Roy Martin (born 1961) is an English session drummer. Biography Martin was born in Liverpool. Self-taught from a young age, he learnt by playing along to records in his family home. He grew up in Liverpool, playing in bands from his mid teens. He moved to New York City in his early 20s, where he met Ron Saint Germain, a highly established producer who has worked with artists including Muse, Jimi Hendrix, Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson. After working in New York for an extended period of time, Martin returned to England for the birth of his first child. Barclay James Harvest are an English progressive rock band. They were founded in Oldham, in September 1966 by bassist/vocalist Les Holroyd (b. 1948), guitarist/vocalist John Lees (b. 1947), drummer/percussionist Mel Pritchard (1948–2004), and keyboardist/vocalist Stuart "Woolly" Wolstenholme (1947–2010). Peter James Wylie (born 22 March 1958) is an English singer/songwriter and guitarist, best known as the leader of the band variously known as Wah!, Wah! Heat, Shambeko! Say Wah!, JF Wah!, The Mighty Wah! and Wah! The Mongrel. Career Early bands Wylie was born on 22 March 1958 in Liverpool. He began his career in 1977 with lead vocalist Ian McCulloch and bassist Julian Cope, with whom he formed the band Crucial Three, which lasted from May to June the same year. Later that year, he performed as a member of the short-lived punk band Mystery Girls, who gave only one performance, supporting Sham 69 at Eric's Club in November 1977, and was composed of Pete Burns and Julian Cope. Robert Allen Palmer (19 January 1949 – 26 September 2003) was an English singer-songwriter, musician and record producer. He was known for his powerful, soulful voice and sartorial elegance, and for his stylistic explorations, combining soul, funk, jazz, rock, pop, reggae, and blues. Gavin Friday (born Fionán Martin Hanvey, 8 October 1959) is an Irish singer and songwriter, composer, actor and painter, best known as a founding member of the post-punk group The Virgin Prunes. Early life Friday was born in Dublin and attended primary and post-primary schools in Ballygall, a neighbourhood on Dublin's Northside located in Glasnevin.
