Roy Hasson
Roy Hilton Hasson (1921-1968) was an Australian rugby league player who played in the 1940s and 1950s. He was a New South Wales state representative half who won the 1941 premiership with St George and later finished his career with Canterbury-Bankstown. Playing career Roy 'Torchy' Hasson played with St George for five seasons between 1940 & 1944 and then Canterbury-Bankstown between 1946 & 1950. He won a premiership with St George in 1941, before moving to Canterbury after the war. He played in Canterbury-Bankstown's losing 1947 Grand Final and captained the 'Berries' during 1948. Hasson represented New South Wales on one occasion in 1947. Corrimal is a suburb north of the city of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. Corrimal's Central business district, CBD is situated on the Princes Highway, and several streets adjacent to it. The main shopping centres are Lederer Corrimal and Corrimal Park Mall next to the park on the main thoroughfare of Corrimal itself. Outside this centre is an old locomotive that is affectionately known as "The Green Frog". Alan James Whiticker (born 1958) is an Australian non-fiction author and publisher, with over 50 published books on history, sport, biography, true crime and lifestyle. Whiticker writes primarily on matters pertaining to the history of the sport of rugby league in Australia, but he has also published works on subjects as diverse as classical film, pop culture, the Wanda Beach Murders and an adaptation of Homer's ''Iliad''. He is a former teacher and commissioning editor for a publishing company but now works as a freelance writer.
