Roy Contout
Roy Contout (born 11 February 1985) is a French Guianan footballer. Career Contout began his career with Beauvais and signed in the summer 2004 for FC Metz. After three years with Metz, Contout signed for Amiens SC in summer 2007. On 16 July 2009 Auxerre signed the striker on a free transfer. During his time with Auxerre, he scored a memorable double at high-flying Lille in a 2–1 victory on 28 February 2010. He also played in the UEFA Champions League before leaving for Sochaux on 13 July 2012 after Auxerre's relegation from Ligue 1. After 2 seasons in yellow, the next club for Contout was Mouscron-Péruwelz of Belgium, whom he joined on 1 September 2014 after being released following Sochaux's relegation to Ligue 2. 2017 Caribbean Cup
The 2017 Caribbean Cup was the 19th and final edition of the Caribbean Cup, the biennial international men's football championship of the Caribbean region organized by the Caribbean Football Union (CFU). The top four teams qualified for the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup, while the fifth-placed team advanced to a play-off against the fifth-placed team from the 2017 Copa Centroamericana for the final Gold Cup berth. The host for the final round was expected to be announced in January 2016. Martinique was announced as host on 25 January 2017, winning over bids of Curaçao and French Guiana. The draw for the semi-finals was also conducted on the same day at the CFU office in St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda. Caribbean Cup
The Caribbean Cup was an association football competition organized by CFU as its top regional tournament for men's senior national teams from the Caribbean. The tournament was held from 1989 to 2017, as the direct successor competition of the CFU Championship and also served as a qualification method for the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Trinidad and Tobago, eight-time champions, and Jamaica, six-time champions, were the most successful teams, winning a combined 14 titles of 18 editions. Martinique, Haiti, Cuba and Curaçao also won the tournament. In 1990 on the day of the final, an insurrection in Trinidad and Tobago, the host nation, by the Jamaat al Muslimeen forced an abandonment of the tournament with only the final and 3rd place play-off game remaining.
