King Island Roxystars Recordings AB, more known as Roxy Recordings, or Roxy is an independent record label based in Kungsholmen, Stockholm, Sweden where their office is the former site of Cheiron Studios and its successor The Location. It was bought by Universal Music Group in August 2011. The label was formed in 2007 in music, 2007 and is owned by Playground Music Scandinavia . The label is mostly active on the Swedish market, but with former signed artists such as Agnes Carlsson and Erik Hassle, they have made an international leap. Agnes was the first one out, selling almost one million copies of her international hit single "Release Me (Agnes song), Release Me" in 2009 and being released under Roxy's licence in 35 countries. Roxxxy
Roxxxy, termed a "sex robot", is a full-size interactive sex doll. The robot is built by the New Jersey–based company TrueCompanion. Its engineer is Douglas Hines, founder and president of the company, who worked as an artificial intelligence engineer at the Bell Labs before he founded TrueCompanion. Development of Roxxxy is claimed to have cost between $500,000 and $1 million. Roxxxy made its public debut at the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE) in Las Vegas on January 9, 2010. The gynoid stands 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds (170 cm and 54 kg). It has synthetic skin and an artificial intelligence engine programmed to learn the owner's likes and dislikes. The Roxy was a diner serving American cuisine in Portland, Oregon. Located on Downtown Portland, Oregon, downtown Portland's Stark Street, Southwest Harvey Milk Street, the restaurant was established in 1994. The Roxy was popular as a late-night food destination and had a diverse clientele. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the diner operated 24 hours a day, except on Mondays. The Roxy has been described as "iconic" and a "landmark", and was known for being an LGBTQ-friendly establishment because of its employees' community involvement and its location within the historic hub of LGBTQ culture and nightlife. Roxy was a Dutch cigarette brand that was manufactured by Royal Theodorus Niemeyer in Groningen, now owned by British American Tobacco. History Roxy was created on 19 March 1951 by Theodorus Niemeijer. Their slogan was ''"'n Roxy?....ja graag!"'' (''"a Roxy?....yes please!"''). The brand was developed specifically as a cigarette which contained lower tar and nicotine. Although in the advertising for the cigarette references to health damage by smoking were avoided, scientific publications about the effects of smoking led to the creation of this cigarette.
